On a post, reel or video, tap Share and then Copy link. Facebook buries this one more level than the other apps, so look under the three dots if you do not see it.
Paste it into Hugo
Open Hugo and paste. It picks up links you have just copied, so usually it is already waiting for you. fb.watch links work the same way.
Cook it
Hugo hands back a proper recipe page, ingredients separated from method, with a link back to the original post.

Can Hugo read posts in a private group?
No, and this is the honest limit on Facebook. Hugo can only see posts that are publicly viewable. Private and closed groups need a logged-in account to read, and Hugo never connects to yours. If the group is public, the post works.
The recipe is one huge block of text. Will that work?
That is exactly the case this is for. Hugo reads the whole post and separates the ingredients from the method, so the paragraph someone typed straight into the post box comes back as a recipe with a real ingredient list.
Does it work with reels and video posts?
Yes. Facebook reels and video posts both work, including fb.watch links. For videos, Hugo watches them the same way it would on any other app.
Where is Copy link on Facebook?
Tap Share under the post, then Copy link. On some posts it sits behind the three dots in the top right instead. Facebook moves this around more than the other apps, so if one is missing, try the other.
Do I need to give Hugo my Facebook login?
No. Hugo never asks for your Facebook password and never connects to your account. It only reads what is publicly viewable from the link you give it.
What if someone corrected the recipe in the comments?
Hugo works from the post itself, so a correction buried in the comments will not be picked up automatically. Recipes are fully editable once saved, so you can fix the quantity in a few seconds and keep it fixed.
